Caution: Pregnant women must not cosume Notoginseng
Notoginseng powder can be consumed directly. However, we suggest following recipe for consuming it. People who are anemic should consume Notoginseng ONLY in the following recipe
Recipe
Ingredients: 1 Kg Chicken, 3 teaspoons of Notoginseng powder (approx 9g), ginger, salt
Number of servings: 3-4
Step 1: Cut chicken into small pieces
Step 2: Put chicken pieces into boiling water for 2 minutes
Step 3: Take out the chicken peices and wash in cold water. Throw away the water used in previous step
Step 4: Boil about 3 litres of water and add 3-4 slices of ginger and chicken pieces to it
Step 5: Keep boiling at low flame for 2 hours
Step 6: Add 3 teaspoons of Notoginseng powder (approx 9 g) and salt to the soup and continue boiling for 5 minutes.
The soup is ready to be served.
We recommend the anemic patients to consume Notoginseng ONLY in the recipe mentioned above
Notoginseng can be alternatively consumed in the following manner
Step 1: Add honey to a glass of cold water
Step 2: Add 1 teaspoonful of Notoginseng powder to the above and mix the contents
Take the above solution 3 times a day.
Besides other benefits of Notoginseng, this recipe adds glow to the skin
Alternative to the above described method,1 teaspoonful Notoginseng powder can be added to tea or coffee and to be consumed three times a day.
